The Grand Session of AEcademy will be held on June 15, 2002, at the Huntington Museum of Art, 2033 McCoy Road, Huntington, WV, located close to the I-64 exit #8. Host for this years AEcademy will be the Shire of Port Oasis.
This session of AEcademy will include classes in the Arts and Sciences as well as the War College. Classes this year will range from Bee Keeping in the Middle Ages, to learning how to be an AEthelmearc Archery Marshal. List fields for teaching the martial arts of fencing and heavy weapons fighting will be available. There will be classes on period smithing including hot forge and cold metal working. Additional classes of note will be Viking Living History, How to Camp in Period Style as well as period herbalism.
Come join your comrades and learn a new art or teach us about your craft.

Site opens at 9:00, classes start at 10:00 AM, site closes at 9:00 PM. A sumptuous feast will be served in the evening to the delight of all by the Lady Lucia Barucci. The site is damp after 5:00. Period containers at feast please. NO FLAMES.
Merchants should contact Lord Alaxandair to arrange space, which will be outdoors. Merchants should bring their own tables and shade fly/tent.
Please note: All public buildings in the county are smoke free as per county regulation. There is NO SMOKING at any public indoor location. This will include hotel rooms and restaurants. The event will have an outdoor smoking area to provide for smokers.
Site is located just off I-64 at exit #8 (5th Street Road). Take your best route to I-64. From the East go to exit #8 and turn right at the end of the ramp. 1/4 block from the end of the ramp you will turn right again, onto Miller Road. Follow Miller road for three blocks and turn left, this will be up a hill. At the top of the hill (end of the street) you will turn left. Go 1/4 block and the entrance to the Museum will be on the left.
From the West, go to exit #8 and turn left at the end of the ramp. Go through the stop light. 1/4 block you will turn right onto Miller Road. Follow directions as above.
