Thinking Outside the Hoop, Machine Embroidery for the Anachronist ( Lady Marian of Blackwood ) Time: 1 Hour
Fee: none Class Size: 10
Description: You’ve had that embroidery machine for years but never got past monogramming towels, you want to use it on garb but you cant seem to make it go past the mundane look of canned embroidery designs. Why search for purchased trim to fit your ideas when you can make exactly what you want? Thinking outside the hoop is an introduction to creative digitizing and manipulation of machine embroidery. Blackwork, working with wool embroidery thread and many other ways to embellish your garb. Each brand of embroidery machine has it’s own methods so bringing your particular machine’s instruction book would be helpful. Also the instruction manual for any digitizing soft wear you may be using. This will aid in answering the “How do I do this on MY machine?” questions. Class is one hour and limited to 10 persons. Bring a something to write with - a small notebook will be provided. Each class member will also receive a CD rom with designs to try at home. No class fee.
